“Vanessa is a generous and caring woman who I greatly admire. She has an eye for connecting environment, to individual within her craft. In doing so, the natural elements, people and places she photographs are honored and shown through a lens of wonder.  I am grateful for the experience she provided. It did not feel like a generic photo session, more of a chance to be a part of something you already love and see yourself through a new eye. Leaving the process feeling more confident and connected than before.  It has never felt comfortable for others to photograph me, and always feels very awkward when in photos. This was more of a time to be yourself, in a beautiful environment.  Dancing among the trees has become a treasure in my life recently, having someone capture the joy and beauty that I feel in those moments was lovely. The value of a captured moment is the memory of celebrating those things that make us feel loved. If you can just be yourself in a place that makes you feel at home, Vanessa captures the essence of it through her work and as an individual gives so much of herself for community and others, her work reflects that, just wanting to show you the beauty that she in the world and in you.
